# How to Set Up a Pro League on Kokomo Pick'em
Kokomo Pick'em has a free private leagues feature anyone can use. But Pro Leagues take it further — you set an entry fee, your group pays in, and the winner takes the prize pool.
This guide covers how Pro Leagues work, how to set one up, and how affiliates can run branded leagues for their own communities.
What Is a Pro League?
A Pro League is a private Pick'em competition where participation requires paying an entry fee set by the league creator.
How it works: - You create the league and set the entry fee - Players join by paying that fee - All entry fees accumulate into a prize pool - The winner (or top finishers) of the private leaderboard wins the pool - Predictions still follow the same Picks and Scores format as standard Pick'em
Everything that makes regular Pick'em competitive — the two tabs, Confidence Picks, weekly leaderboard — applies inside Pro Leagues. The only difference is there's real money on the line within your group.
Free Leagues vs Pro Leagues
Pick'em has two types of private leagues:
Free Leagues: - No entry fee - Compete on a private leaderboard with friends - No prize pool — bragging rights and community competition only - Anyone can create or join for free
Pro Leagues: - Creator sets the entry fee (any amount) - Entry fees build a prize pool - Winner(s) of the private leaderboard claim the pool - Ideal for friend groups, online communities, and affiliates
Both use the same league and leaderboard structure. The only distinction is money in, money out.
Who Should Run a Pro League?
Friend Groups A season-long Pro League between friends adds real stakes to every matchweek. Set a fixed entry fee at the start of the season, everyone pays in, and the winner takes the accumulated pool at the end.
Football Communities and Discord Servers If you run a football community online, a Pro League gives your members a reason to engage every matchweek. A shared leaderboard, real prize money, and weekly competition keeps communities active across a full season.
Content Creators and Affiliates Kokomo affiliates can create branded leagues — your own name, your own community, your own prize pool. Run a Pick'em league for your audience as a regular engagement mechanic tied to your content.
Workplaces and Social Groups Office football sweepstakes are common. A Pro League is the structured, skill-based version. Everyone predicts, the best predictor wins, and the prize pool is self-funded by the group.
