What Is the FIFA 2026 World Cup Prediction Challenge?
The FIFA 2026 World Cup Prediction Challenge is a free prediction competition running from group stages through the July 19 final. Predict how 48 nations finish in 12 groups, pick which third-place teams advance, and forecast knockout match winners and scores.
Your total points across all three stages determine your leaderboard position.
Launch date: June 1st, 2026
Three Stages. Three Leaderboards.
The World Cup Bracket has a unique structure: two separate entry windows create three distinct leaderboards.
Entry Window 1: Full Bracket (Before June 11)
Lock in all 12 group standings before the first match kicks off. Your predictions carry through wildcards and knockouts. Compete on the Full Bracket Leaderboard where the highest total score wins.
This leaderboard has the biggest prize pool — you're predicting the entire tournament upfront.
Entry Window 2: Knockout Only (From June 27)
Missed the group stage deadline? Re-enter with a fresh knockout bracket starting June 27. Predict the Round of 32 onwards without group predictions. Compete on the Knockout Only Leaderboard for second-chance prizes.
Both leaderboards run independently with separate prize pools. Top performers on either board win.
Friends Leaderboard
Create a private bracket challenge with friends. Head-to-head competition on a separate leaderboard. Your personal stakes, your rules.

Bracket Strategy
Group Predictions:
Research team strength, injury news, and historical group performance. Don't just pick favourites — consider which groups have tightest competition.
Confidence Picks:
Don't waste your group confidence pick on obvious predictions. Choose a moderately difficult group where you have strong conviction — nailing it doubles your points.
Wildcard Selection:
Third-place teams advance based on points, goal difference, and goals scored. Study the specific third-place mechanics before locking in wildcards.
Knockout Scores:
Exact scores earn 10 points but are hard to predict. Prioritise getting winners correct (3 points) unless you're very confident on a specific scoreline.
Late-Round Confidence Picks:
Save knockout confidence picks for Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Final. Early Round of 32 matches are too unpredictable for multipliers.
Can You Edit Your Bracket?
Before June 11: Yes. Make unlimited edits before the group stage locks.
During Tournament: Group predictions lock June 11. Wildcard picks lock before Round of 32. Knockout predictions open round-by-round and lock when matches start.
