Kokomo's Pick'em Champions League Bracket is a season-long competition where you predict knockout stage scores from the Round of 16 through the Final. One entry fee. One leaderboard. Winner takes the prize pool.
Entry costs 100 Pick'em Coins ($1). The prize pool grows with every entry — currently over $40 and climbing. This guide covers how the bracket works, scoring rules, strategy for each round, and how to maximise your points from now until the final whistle in Budapest.
What is the Champions League Bracket?
The Champions League Bracket is a limited-time event running throughout the UEFA Champions League knockout stage. Instead of weekly resets like standard Pick'em, this competition runs from the Round of 16 through the Final with a single cumulative leaderboard.
How it works: - Pay 100 Pick'em Coins ($1) to enter - Predict match scores across all knockout rounds (Ro16, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, Final) - Earn points under the same scoring system as regular Pick'em - Compete on one leaderboard that tracks total points from all rounds - Top scorer(s) when the Final ends wins the prize pool
Prize pool: The pool grows by $1 for every entry. More participants = bigger prize. Currently sitting at over $40 and increasing with each new participant.
How Scoring Works
The Champions League Bracket uses the exact same points structure as Kokomo's regular Pick'em feature:
Predict Score Tab: - Correct result (right winner/draw, wrong score): +3 points - Exact score: +6 points - Incorrect prediction: 0 points
Round-by-Round Breakdown
Round of 16
The bracket begins here. Sixteen teams, eight two-legged ties, sixteen matches total (home and away).
What to predict: Both legs of all eight ties. You're predicting individual match scores, not aggregate outcomes.
When predictions lock: Each match locks when it kicks off. You can adjust your predictions for the second leg right up until that match starts, even after the first leg result is known.
Strategic consideration: The Round of 16 offers the most matches and therefore the most points available. A strong start here builds a leaderboard cushion for later rounds.
Quarter-Finals
Eight teams remain. Four two-legged ties. Eight matches total.
Unlocks after Round of 16 completes: Quarter-final predictions become available once the Ro16 finishes. You'll know which teams advanced before making your picks.
What changes: Teams are stronger on average. Fewer mismatches. Exact scores become harder to predict as matches tighten.
Strategic consideration: This is where conservative score predictions (1-0, 2-1, 1-1) often outperform high-scoring guesses. Top teams in knockout stages tend to manage games carefully.
Semi-Finals
Four teams left. Two ties. Four matches.
Unlocks after Quarter-Finals complete: Semi-final brackets open once QF results are final.
What changes: Only elite teams remain. Tactical battles dominate. Clean sheets and low-scoring first legs are common as teams prioritise not conceding away goals.
Strategic consideration: Home advantage matters more in semis. First-leg predictions should account for teams playing cautiously. Second legs often open up if the tie is still close.
The Final
One match.
Unlocks after Semi-Finals complete: Final prediction opens once both semi-final ties conclude.
Single-leg format: Unlike previous rounds, the Final is one match. No home and away. Neutral venue. Extra time and penalties possible if level after 90 minutes.
Strategic consideration: The Final is worth the same points as any other single match, but it's your last chance to climb the leaderboard. If you're trailing, an exact score prediction here (6 points) could swing your position significantly.
