Kokomo Pick'em has a referral system that rewards you for bringing friends to the platform. Invite someone, they sign up and play, you earn bonus points. Those points unlock perks like point multipliers and badges.
Here's how the referral program works, what you earn per invite, and how to climb the referral tiers.
How Referrals Work
You get a unique referral link. Share it with friends. When they sign up using your link and start predicting, you earn bonus points.
Three ways to earn points per referral:
+5 points — Friend signs up (when they create an account)
+3 points — First picks submitted (when they make their first predictions)
+1 point — Weekly activity (each week your referrals are active)
Total potential: 9 points per active referral in their first week, then +1 point per week as long as they keep predicting.
Your Referral Link
Find your unique referral link in the Invite tab on Pick'em.
The link looks like: `https://pickem.kokomo.games/join/YOUR_CODE`
How to share it:
- Copy the link and send it directly
- Use the Share button for quick social media posting
- Send to friends via Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, or any messaging app
When someone clicks your link and creates an account, they're automatically connected as your referral.
Referral Tiers and Rewards
As you invite more friends, you climb through five referral tiers. Each tier unlocks better rewards.
Starter (Current tier at 0 invites)
- 0 invites
- 0 bonus points earned
- No multiplier
Scout (3 invites)
- +15 bonus points when you reach this tier
- 1.1x point multiplier on all your predictions
- Scout badge
Recruiter (10 invites)
- +30 bonus points when you reach this tier
- 1.25x point multiplier on all your predictions
- Recruiter badge
Captain (25 invites)
- +50 bonus points when you reach this tier
- 1.5x point multiplier on all your predictions
- Captain badge
Ambassador (50 invites)
- +100 bonus points when you reach this tier
- 2x point multiplier on all your predictions
- Ambassador badge
Point Multipliers Explained
The point multiplier applies to all your prediction points on the weekly leaderboard.
Example:
You're at Recruiter tier (1.25x multiplier). You earn 40 points from predictions this week.
Without multiplier: 40 points
With 1.25x multiplier: 50 points
The multiplier compounds your scoring power. At Ambassador tier (2x), every correct prediction is worth double on the leaderboard.
This is how top referrers consistently finish in prize positions — their base predictions are good, and the multiplier pushes them higher.
Welcome Bonus (Social Tasks)
Before you even start referring friends, you can earn +20 bonus points by completing social tasks:
- Follow on X (Twitter): +5 points
- Join Discord: +5 points
- Telegram Alerts: +10 points
These are one-time bonuses. Complete them in the Invite tab under "Welcome Bonus."
Top Inviters Leaderboard
The Invite tab displays a weekly leaderboard showing who referred the most friends that week.
Top inviters get bragging rights and visibility. While there's no additional prize for topping this leaderboard, it shows who's building the biggest networks.
Filter by "This Week" or "All Time" to see current leaders vs lifetime top referrers.
How to Maximise Referral Points
Share in football communities.
Post your link in Premier League discussion groups, fantasy football forums, or football Discord servers. Pick'em players are already football fans — they're your target audience.
Explain what they get.
Don't just drop a link. Tell friends Pick'em is free, offers weekly prizes, and takes 30 seconds to join. Context increases signups.
Target active players.
One friend who predicts every week is worth more than five who sign up and never return. The +1 weekly activity bonus compounds over time.
Use the Share button.
The platform's built-in share function formats your link for Twitter, Facebook, and other platforms automatically.
Reach the next tier before big matchweeks.
If you're one invite away from unlocking a multiplier tier, push to hit it before a major matchweek (like a derby week or cup fixtures). The multiplier applies immediately and boosts your leaderboard score.
Referral Points vs Prediction Points
Referral bonus points and tier unlock bonuses (+15, +30, +50, +100) are separate from your weekly prediction points.
Your weekly leaderboard score = prediction points × multiplier
Referral bonuses = added to your account balance but don't directly appear on the weekly leaderboard. They contribute to your overall Pick'em profile progress.
The multiplier is where referrals directly impact your leaderboard ranking.
Do Referred Friends Get Anything?
Yes. When someone signs up using your referral link, they join Pick'em as a standard user with full access to all features.
They don't receive a specific "new user bonus" from being referred, but they get the same benefits any Pick'em player gets:
- Free weekly predictions
- Chance to win weekly prizes
- Ability to join Pro Leagues
- Their own referral link to invite others
Common Questions
How do I know if my referral signed up?
Check the Invite tab. It shows your total "Friends Invited" count. Each successful signup increments this number.
Do I need to hit a tier in one week, or can I build referrals over time?
Tiers are cumulative. You can invite 3 friends this month, 7 more next month, and hit Recruiter tier (10 total). There's no time pressure.
What if someone creates multiple accounts using my link?
The system tracks legitimate signups. Duplicate or fake accounts don't count toward your referral total.
Can I lose tier status if referrals stop playing?
No. Once you unlock a tier, it's permanent. Even if your referrals become inactive, you keep your multiplier and badge.
Is there a cap on referrals?
No limit. You can refer as many people as you want. Ambassador (50 invites) is the highest tier, but you can keep inviting beyond that.
Why Referrals Matter for Serious Players
If you're competing for weekly prizes consistently, the point multiplier is a massive edge.
At Ambassador tier (2x multiplier), you effectively score double points compared to non-referring players with identical predictions. That's the difference between finishing 6th (no prize) and finishing 3rd (prize position).
Building a referral base early compounds your advantage over the season. Ten invites today could be worth dozens of extra leaderboard points every week for months.
